STUDENT UNION- SCHOOL OF CIVIL ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENT
Introduction to the Student Union- School of Civil Engineering and Management Student Union- School of Civil Engineering and Management is a unit of the Union of the International University, Vietnam National University – HCMC. Under the direction of the Party Committee, the School of Civil Engineering and Management and the University Student Union. In the term of the 2022-2024, Student Union includes 7 members in the Executive Committee (including 02 members in the Standing Committee) responsible for professional areas and management of subordinate student unions. The main task of the student Union is to manage the branches in the Union work and Youth movements. The task of Youth union members in the university is to study and practice.
The motto of the Union is building and promoting youth movements in learning and skills training, in order to contribute to the goal of “Pioneering, confidence, solidarity, creativity, and development.”

Association The Civil Engineering and Construction Management Student Association (CESA) is the common home of many active, dynamic and creative students of the School of Civil Engineering and Management. CESA has organized many activities to support the spiritual life of students, helping students have more opportunities to express themselves and improve their missing skills.

LIST OF STUDENT ACTIVITIES FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2022-2023
1/ Spring Volunteer
Activity summary: The purpose of this activity is to provide opportunities for students to participate in volunteer programs aimed at promoting solidarity and compassion. At the same time, it aims to help orphaned children have a warm and happy spring season.
Results: A lot of gifts were given to orphaned children such as books, stationery, and essential items, and a playground was created for them to interact. In addition, the CEM team donated a gift worth 3,000,000 VND to the Ngoc Nhan Monastery in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province.

2/ Teacher’s Day and Student Excellence Award Ceremony
Summary of the activity: The purpose of this event is to show gratitude to the teachers on the occasion of Vietnam Teacher’s Day (November 20th) and to promote the spirit of respect for teachers among students in the School. It also provides an opportunity for students to express their appreciation and build a closer relationship with their teachers. The event also honors outstanding students who have achieved the “Student 5 Excellence Award” in the School, and encourages other students to strive for this achievement in the future.
Result: The event was attended by 35 students from the Shool of Civil Engineering and Management who gave gifts to all the teachers in the faculty. Four students were awarded certificates of merit and commemorative gifts for achieving the “Student 5 Excellence Award” in the academic year 2021-2022.

3/ Welcome freshmen Summary of the activity:
This is an event that aims to ignite the enthusiasm and spirit of youth among students in the faculty, and create a good impression on the new freshmen of 2022. It was attended by the faculty’s leaders and lecturers, and provides an opportunity for the faculty’s community to welcome and exchange knowledge, experience and skills with the new students. The event also aims to promote and build the image of the faculty and its student association, and demonstrate the friendly and united spirit of the community. Result: The event was warmly welcomed with the participation of 51 students from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture and nearly 20 lecturers. The event also included the induction ceremony for the new members of the Faculty’s Student Association.
Welcome Freshmen
4/ Full Moon Festival
Summary of the activity: This event aims to raise awareness and responsibility of the community and the student association towards the care and education of children. It provides a safe and healthy playground for children during the Full Moon Festival. The organizing committee of the School of Civil Engineering and Management donated 30 scholarships and a bookcase to underprivileged students at Bui Thi Xuan Primary School in Duc Linh district, Binh Thuan province.
Result: The event was successfully organized with the participation of 20 students from various faculties and the donation of 30 scholarships to underprivileged students.
