Founded in January 2011 as the Department of Civil Engineering, the School of Civil Engineering and Management at the International University – National University, Ho Chi Minh City, focuses on training in two majors: Civil Engineering and Construction Management, with all instruction and communication conducted in English.
After years of continuous development, the School has achieved many accomplishments not only in training highly skilled engineers but also in providing them with high proficiency in foreign languages to meet the demands of economic integration and the ability to master advanced construction technologies.
Students majoring in Civil Engineering will be equipped with:
- Solid fundamental knowledge.
- Computer and programming skills, as well as proficiency in specialized design software.
- Deep expertise in design, construction, and management of construction activities.
- English proficiency to access and master new technologies in design, construction, and implementation of construction activities.
- The ability to pursue higher education in Vietnam or developed countries such as the United States, Germany, Japan, Canada, Australia, and South Korea to engage in research or teaching.
Students majoring in Construction Management will be equipped with:

- In-depth knowledge related to volume measurement, cost estimation, project appraisal, bidding, settlement payment, cost management, and risk management in construction.
- Learning in English will respond quickly to negotiation, contracting, and communication in a construction environment.
- Ability to study post-graduate studies in Vietnam or advanced countries such as the U.S., Germany, Japan, Canada, Australia, and Korea to pursue research or teaching.
